Close Brothers Sales Academy focuses on diversity



Close Brothers Asset Finance has launched the second iteration of its Sales Academy with the aim of increasing diversity in the industry.

The first Sales Academy has been a success for the company with both internal and external candidates being appointed to sales roles following its conclusion.  

CBC Resourcing Solutions has been appointed to lead the search for 16 new recruits, at least half of whom will be women, to take part in the latest programme, starting in September.

Steve Gee, CEO of the Industrial Equipment Division of Close Brothers Asset Finance, said, “As a result of the first sales academy we now have around 15 highly talented additional sales people in our business who have received detailed training in asset finance, all of who are effectively equipped to provide the best possible service to our customers. 

“Following the success of the inaugural programme, we will be running a second Academy, starting this September, albeit we are very mindful of the gender gap that exists in this sector.

“That is why we are looking for 50pct of recruits to be female. This is traditionally a male-dominated industry, however we believe it is personality and aptitude that creates success. 

“At Close Brothers Asset Finance we are intent on increasing our diversity so that we may have access to the nation’s top talent and can serve our customers in the best possible way.”
